Have you ever heard of Molluscum Contagiosum? It’s not a term heard in daily conversation, but it’s a common issue. Molluscum is a viral skin infection that causes noticeable bumps on the outer layer of skin. Fortunately, these bumps are harmless and generally cause no pain, but the virus can last for some time—from a few months to a few years—and can be spread. Not to mention the bumps can be embarrassing for some.
The Symptoms

The Virus
Molluscum Contagiosum is spread like most viruses: touch. You can contract it by touching the bumps in any manner. Due to this, when the virus is spread between adults, it is commonly via sexual contact. Additionally, the virus can survive on surfaces, so shared objects of almost any type may carry it between people. People with compromised immune systems, common skin conditions, and other issues may contract the virus more easily.
The Treatment
